2015 Favorite Makeup Product!

Hello all! Happy New Year to all of you!

So, I haven’t posted in a while, but I thought it would be perfect with the new year, to share one of my favorite products for 2015! Technically, that’s also one of my favorite products in my entire makeup artistry career!! LOL! I can confidently say that, since it’s been less than a year since I started!! Jokes aside, I am truly blessed and grateful for this past year: the amazing support of my husband, and of all of you... my family, friends and followers, including those who courageously allowed me to try my first applications on them, and who continue to like , share and comment on my pictures! Thank you!! Honestly you give me the motivation to continue, and I’m quite sure that I would not have persisted to-date without each one of you!

So, let’s go back to my favorite product in 2015. So this is by no means a new product, however, I just started using it this year, and that is perfect for the coveted winged-liner…. And that is

the Inglot AMC black gel eyeliner #77.

This is a super-black, intense, waterproof and long-lasting gel-eyeliner. It is my favorite eyeliner to-date. Honestly, it is one of the “blackest” blacks if I may say so. Also, the texture is extremely soft and creamy. You really sense this once you start applying it with your eyeliner brush. It goes on your eye very smoothly, you just feel like you want to go on and on… :)

The only challenge is that it dries very quickly, so you need to work with it really fast. What this also means is that this is NOT your practice eyeliner product. If you are still a beginner with using eyeliners, you need to use something that doesn’t dry quickly, and also can be removed a lot more easily. You can check it out my blog on winged liners for more information.

Also, since it is very long-lasting, you do need a good oil-based eye makeup remover to remove it. For the same reason, I don’t recommend it as your daily go-to eyeliner, as you will spend a decent time trying to remove it, and I personally don’t like rubbing out my eyes that often. However, if you have a special event or you want to make sure your makeup is waterproof, in case you are expecting some tears of happiness, then this is definitely the way to go!

So, ofcourse my New Year’s Eve look had the signature winged eye-liner with this beautiful product. Here's a photo, with a summary of the products that I used to acheive this look:

  • Foundation: AJ Crimson mix of nos 1, 1.3 and 4.5. No 1 is pink-undertone and I use it to balance out the “yellowish” tones in my face.

  • Contour + Bronzing: AJ Crimson no 9 with Anastasia Beverly Hills Medium-To-Tan Contour Kit. I also added a Lancome peach shimmery blush.

  • Highlight: Mix of MAC Soft And Gentle and MAC Gold Deposit on the top of the cheek-bones. I also used The Balm Mary lou-manizer to highlight inner corner of the eye and under eye-brow.

  • Powder: To set the foundation, I used a combination of MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Light+ and Medium. To set my under-eyes I used the Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Poweder

  • Eye-makeup: I primarily used the Anastasia Beverly Hils Maya Mia Eyeshadow Palette to create this look. I used Warmtaupe, Caramel and Sienna in the crease. On the eye-lid I used Glisten and Fresh Peach as well as Deep Brown. To top it off all I used the beautiful Inglot AMC black gel eyeliner no 77. I also added volume to my lashes using the Lancome Hynose Drama mascara, as well as the Esquido lashlorette lashes

  • Brows: I used Senna brow shadows in a mix of Auburn and Taupe, and finally set it with MAC clear brow set gel

  • Lips: MAC kinda sexy lipstick

Hope you all have a blessed new year, and that you found this post helpful!
